Meet Chico! Chico is a 6 year old Westie mix looking for a new home. Chico's owner is moving into assisted living and can’t take him. This little cutie is 15 lbs, neutered, house-trained, up to date on vaccines, and gets along with other dogs. Cats are unknown but he’s been around chickens and didn’t chase them so his current foster thinks he would be ok with cats. He’s really easy to be with and will let you know when he needs to go out.

Spencer, Young Male, 52 pounds, Richmond VA
Hello there. My name is Spencer and they say I am around 18-24 months old. My foster mom rescued me from a really scary shelter and she says I am: Happy, Friendly, Silly, Goofy, Playful, Bouncy, Funny (she can go on and on!). She says I make her laugh at least twice a day and that I am full of love and affection and ready to give it to give to some lucky family! I even like to hug! (but foster mom says I shouldn’t) I am working extra hard on my house manners and doing pretty well if I do say so myself! I do like other social dogs, but I’ve never met a kitty. I love my yard toys, my favorites are my crackle ball, my wiggle ball and my rubber frisbee! I can almost catch it! I do enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood but LOVE zooming around the yard, with or without toy in mouth, showing off my athletics! Hello there. My name is Lulu and they call me a Jack Russell/Terrier/Schnauzer mix. I am full grown and 7 years young. Sadly, I was orphaned when my person and my canine-friend both crossed over rainbow bridge in early August. I really love being a part of a small family and hope that I can feel that way again very soon. For the last 3 years I lived happily with an older person and an older dog. I love attention, belly & ear scratches and am very sweet-natured.
Naturally I am a bit unsure of things right now, as so much has changed for me. I will bark at unfamiliar people in an alarming/protective/alerting manner. I have been trained on an invisible fence/collar. I get a bit anxious when I am left alone and so I will go right in my crate when my foster mom needs to leave me by myself.
The best home for me would be one that is similar to what I have experienced in my life – an older person or people, other low-key pets, and the ability to be outdoors for a bit during the day. If you have room in your home and your heart for me, click here to see if we could be a match.

Although Gabby's surgery costs have been raised, there are still outstanding costs for various cardiology diagnostics that Gabby needed. We also have other orphaned dogs who have required specialized veterinary care. See Help the Dogs for more information on how you can help.
