How you can help our furry orphans:

• Lend a hand at adoption events — a couple of hours, once or twice a month
• Drive dogs to vet appointments or new foster homes — occasional, whenever you're free
• Help with social media — about an hour a week, from your couch
• Take photos of our dogs — two hours a month, and a phone is fine
• Write — turn what a foster tells us about their dog into a bio people fall in love with
• Reply to messages — twenty minutes a day, no experience needed, just someone reliable
• Help with the website or fundraising — occasional, whenever you have an evening
• ¿Hablas español? — help us reach Spanish-speaking families in Richmond

Interested in Fostering?

You have a couch. That's genuinely most of it. Every dog we rescue needs somewhere to sleep tonight. We have no building — so when a foster home opens up, we can say yes to a dog. Send us your completed Foster form.

Foster parents are critical to the rescue process:

• More foster homes = more dogs rescued!
• Knowing a personality = finding the right new family
• Foster homes help dogs transition from orphan to adopted!
• Seeing an orphan find a forever home is an amazing and  rewarding experience. 

If you have the time and energy to devote to being a foster parent, you will give one more orphaned dog a chance to find a loving home.

Send your form over and a volunteer will get back to you within a few days to talk it through. There's no commitment in the conversation, and if it turns out not to suit you, that's completely fine.
